The VQR Writers’ Conference
Our 2014 conference is focused on Southern literature. We welcome participants from across the country and abroad who want to learn about the writing craft from our internationally distinguished faculty. Participants are encouraged to workshop writing set in the South or about Southerners, but it is not a requirement for attendance. Enrollment is based on the potential for literary excellence regardless of subject matter.
To stay at the Boar’s Head Inn at the conference rate of $165 plus taxes and fees, you must reserve your hotel room by July 18. All conference activities will be held on the Boar’s Head resort grounds.
Conference participants pay $950 (which includes box lunches and Saturday banquet). Auditors pay $800 (which includes box lunches and Saturday banquet).
Once admitted to the conference, a nonrefundable deposit of $200 is due by July 15. The balance is due at or before registration. Payment may be made by check or credit card.
